# Prolific and panel integrations

Recruit participants with Prolific or connect SampleNinja for panel routing.

## Steps

### 1. Open the Recruit Participants tab

From the Share tab, select **Recruit Participants** to access the Prolific integration.

### 2. Configure recruitment

Set your target sample size, screening criteria, and study description. QuestionPunk generates the appropriate Prolific study configuration.

### 3. Connect SampleNinja (optional)

In survey settings, open the **Panel** section to configure SampleNinja. Set signing mode (full-URL or legacy), choose a hash algorithm (SHA-256, SHA-1, or MD5), configure entry signature validation, and map demographic variables.

### 4. Monitor recruitment

Watch quotas and recruitment progress in the survey dashboard. Adjust screening criteria if needed to hit your target sample.

## Details

Prolific provides pre-vetted, demographically diverse participants for research studies. The integration handles study setup, participant routing, and completion tracking.

Use Prolific for academic research that requires paid participants, specific demographics, or large sample sizes.

**SampleNinja** integration is available in survey settings under the Panel section. It supports entry/exit URL signing (SHA-256, SHA-1, MD5), demographic variable mapping, and reconciliation CSV exports for panel management.

Monitor recruitment progress in the survey dashboard and adjust screening if needed to hit quotas.

**Webhook events for recruitment:** Register [webhooks](https://www.questionpunk.com/support/webhooks) for recruitment lifecycle events (**recruitment.started**, **recruitment.fulfilled**, **recruitment.partial**, **recruitment.failed**) and panel submission events (**panel.submission.approved**, **panel.submission.rejected**, **panel.submission.payout_released**, **panel.submission.paid**) to trigger downstream workflows automatically.
