# Packaging design

Design packaging concepts from a library of dieline templates, then bring them into surveys as Design questions.

## Steps

### 1. Browse the dieline library

Open **Packaging Design** from the sidebar to browse the **Library** — a catalog of standard packaging dieline templates and box sizes. Browsing is available without an account.

### 2. Design in the Studio

Pick a dieline to open the **Studio**, the design canvas, with that dieline placed on the board ready to design. You can start designing as a guest; signing up is only required when you download your work.

### 3. Trace images with Vectorize

Use **Vectorize** to convert a raster image (a logo or photo) into clean vector art directly in your browser. It works without an account for casual use.

### 4. Manage projects and settings

Saved designs appear under **Projects**. Use **Design settings** to manage packaging-specific defaults, separate from your account-wide Settings.

### 5. Bring a design into a survey

Add a [Design question](https://www.questionpunk.com/support/survey-design-question-types) to any survey and embed a finished Packaging Design concept for respondents to react to and give structured feedback on.

## Details

Packaging Design lives alongside Concept Testing as its own product area, with a dedicated navigation section for Library, Studio, Projects, Vectorize, and Design settings — separate from the survey editor.

The **Library** is a browsable catalog of packaging dieline templates and standard box sizes. Picking a size opens the **Studio** with that dieline already placed on the board.

The **Studio** is the design canvas where you build out a packaging concept on the dieline. It is guest-accessible: you can design without signing in, and only need an account to download your work.

**Vectorize** is a standalone raster-to-vector tracer — turn a logo or photo into clean vector art entirely in your browser, with no upload required. It is also guest-accessible, with usage limits for anonymous visitors.

Finished designs can be embedded directly into a survey using the [Design question type](https://www.questionpunk.com/support/survey-design-question-types), so you can collect structured respondent feedback on packaging concepts without leaving QuestionPunk.
