Reward respondents with gift cards for completing your survey.

Time: 5-10 minutes

Level: Intermediate

Audience: Researchers, Product teams, Academics

## Steps

### 1. Open the Share tab

Navigate to the **Share** tab in the survey editor and select the **Incentives** section.

### 2. Set reward and budget

Enter the reward amount per respondent (minimum $0.50) and the total budget (minimum $5.00). The system calculates how many reward slots are available based on your budget.

### 3. Choose a payout method and enable

Select a payout method: **Gift cards** (digital gift cards delivered automatically, budgeted in USD) or **Mobile top-up** (manual airtime top-up, budgeted in Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH) — you send the credit yourself and mark it paid in-app). For mobile top-up, add a Phone Verification question so respondents can enter their number. Activate the incentive configuration. Once enabled, respondents who complete the survey will be eligible for a reward.

### 4. Add identity verification (optional)

For fraud prevention, add a **LinkedIn Verification** question to require respondents to verify their identity before receiving a reward. Other verification types (Google, Email, Phone) are also available.

### 5. Monitor payouts

Track reserved, paid, and available reward slots from the incentive dashboard. You can pause or delete the incentive configuration at any time.

## Details

Respondent incentives let you automatically reward participants for completing your survey, increasing response rates and data quality.

Two payout methods are available: **Gift cards** (digital gift cards delivered automatically via email, budgeted in USD) and **Mobile top-up** (manual airtime top-up — you transfer the credit to the respondent's phone number yourself and update the payout status in-app; add a Phone Verification question so respondents can enter their number). Mobile top-up amounts are currently denominated in Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH), so it's built for Ukraine-based respondent pools rather than as a general emerging-markets option.

Set a per-respondent reward amount and a total budget. The system calculates the number of available slots and tracks payouts in real time.

Identity verification blocks (LinkedIn, Google, Email, Phone) can be added to prevent fraudulent reward claims. LinkedIn verification is recommended for professional research panels.

The incentive dashboard shows reserved slots (respondents in progress), paid slots (completed payouts), and remaining budget so you can monitor spending. Manual payout management lets you mark individual payouts as complete, failed, or pending.

You can pause incentives by toggling the active state, or delete the configuration entirely. Adjust reward amounts and budget before launching to match your research budget.
