# Multi-language surveys

## Steps

### 1. Add a language

In the survey editor, click the language selector (flag icon) in the top left. Click **Add Language** and choose from 140+ supported languages.

### 2. Auto-translate

When you add a language, QuestionPunk can auto-translate all question text, options, and messages. Review and edit translations as needed.

### 3. Edit per-question translations

Switch between languages in the editor to view and edit translations for individual questions. Each question has its own translation fields.

### 4. Share language-specific links

Each language version gets its own share link. From the Share tab, select the language to get the appropriate link for each audience.

For academic research, having per-language survey versions with editable translations ensures accuracy across multilingual studies.

On Pro and Enterprise plans, a **Pro Translation** pass is available per language from the language editor: independent forward translations are checked with a blind back-translation, disagreements go through a reconciliation and meaning-review step, and the result comes with a per-segment note explaining any change plus an auto-built glossary for consistent terminology. It is an AI-only quality upgrade, not a certified or human-validated translation — you can also request a professional human review, or hand the report to your own reviewer, from the same page.
