Before you start

Make sure you have a GitHub repository with the images you want to use. You also need a GitHub Personal Access Token with the right scope for that repository.

Steps

  1. Open Settings > Integrations

Go to Settings > Integrations and find the GitHub card.
  2. Add a Personal Access Token

Create a GitHub Personal Access Token with the repo scope for private repositories, or public_repo for public repositories. Paste the token into QuestionPunk.
  3. Import images into a Concept Test

After GitHub is connected, open a Concept Test and use the GitHub import. Click Load repos, choose a repository, optionally enter a folder path, preview the images, and click Import to concept test.
  4. Disconnect GitHub if needed

Click Disconnect on the GitHub card in Settings > Integrations to remove the saved token from QuestionPunk. Revoke the token in your GitHub settings too.

Details and limitations

The GitHub integration is for one task: pulling images from a repository so you can quickly fill a Concept Test with variants from assets already stored in version control.

Use the smallest scope that works. Use public_repo for public repositories. Use repo only when the images are in a private repository.

Check the result

You should be able to load repositories from GitHub and import selected images into your Concept Test as variants.

If something goes wrong

If you cannot access a repository, check that the token scope matches the repository type: public_repo for public repositories or repo for private repositories.
