How the board works

  • A real 10x10 board

People tap open squares on their phone and see who has the rest. A taken square closes for everyone else.

  • Numbers drawn at random

When every square is taken, press Draw the numbers. Each column and row gets a number from 0 to 9, drawn once, and the board locks.

  • Numbers by email

Everyone who leaves an email gets their squares and numbers after the draw.

  • Winners each quarter

Type the score at the end of each quarter, or just the final, and the board shows the winning square and who has it.

  • Squares per person

Cap how many squares one person can take, so everyone gets a turn.

  • No account for guests

Send one link by text, email or group chat. People answer in their phone’s browser, with no app to download and no account to create.

Frequently asked questions

What questions are in the “Super Bowl Squares” template?

The template includes 3 ready-to-use questions, starting with: “What's your name?” · “Your email, to get your numbers after the draw” · “Pick your squares”. The full set is previewed above, and every question is editable.

How do football squares work?

The board has 100 squares, and each person claims squares by name. Once the board is full, each column gets a random number from 0 to 9 for one team and each row a number for the other. At the end of each quarter, the square whose numbers match the last digit of each team’s score wins.

Can I draw the numbers before the board is full?

Yes. Press Draw now. Empty squares stay empty, and a quarter that lands on one has no winner.

Do people need an account?

Not to claim squares: they open the link in any phone or computer browser. You need a free QuestionPunk account to email everyone their numbers.

Is it free?

Yes. The board, the draw and the number emails are on the Free plan, which needs no credit card.
