QuestionPunk supports 130+ languages. You can add a language-specific version of your survey, auto-translate it, edit translations for each question, and use a separate share link for each language version.

Before you start

Open the survey in the editor and go to Build. Decide which target languages you need before you start adding versions.

Steps

  1. Add a language

    In the survey editor, open the language menu at the top right of the Build toolbar. Choose a language under Supported languages. In the Translate your survey dialog, choose Standard, Pro Translate, or Translate Manually.

  2. Run auto-translation

    When you add a language, QuestionPunk can translate all question text, options, and messages. Review the translated content, then edit anything that needs changes.

  3. Edit translations for each question

    Switch languages in the editor to review and edit translations for individual questions. Each question has its own translation fields.

  4. Get a link for each language

    Publish the survey first. Review the publication confirmation and confirm Publish again. Then go to Share from the top Build section switcher, select the language, and use Copy link to get the right link for each audience.

AI interviews run in the language the respondent chose. Voice interviews can optionally follow a respondent who switches language during the interview.

Each language version has its own shareable link, so you can send different links to different regional audiences. The same participant link can be shared with multiple people, and each person submits separate answers.

For academic research, editable language-specific survey versions help you keep translations accurate across multilingual studies.

On Pro and Enterprise plans, a Pro Translate pass is available per language from the language editor, using the survey owner's plan. Two independent forward translations are reconciled, checked with a blind back-translation, and given a meaning check. The result comes with a per-segment note explaining any change plus an auto-built glossary for consistent terminology. It is an AI-only quality upgrade, not a certified or human-validated translation. From the same page you can request a quote for a professional human review, or download a workbook for your own reviewer.

Check the result

You should see one or more added language versions in the editor and be able to copy the matching published link for each language.

If something goes wrong

If you cannot copy a language-specific link, make sure the survey is published first, then open Share from the top Build section switcher.
