Use QuestionPunk from Claude or ChatGPT

Connect your QuestionPunk account to Claude or ChatGPT, then ask it to draft surveys, edit questions, publish when you say so, and read results.

QuestionPunk has a connector for AI assistants that support custom MCP connectors, such as Claude and ChatGPT. Once it is connected, you can work on your studies by asking in chat. The assistant signs in as you and can only do what you approve on the consent screen.

Steps

  1. Add the connector
In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors and click Add custom connector. In ChatGPT, use the custom connector flow available to your developer workspace. Name the connector QuestionPunk and enter https://app.questionpunk.com/api/v1.
  2. Sign in and approve
Choose OAuth if your assistant asks. Sign in to QuestionPunk, check the permissions the connection requests, and click Approve connection.
  3. Try a first request
Start a new chat with QuestionPunk turned on and ask: “Verify my QuestionPunk connection, then create an unpublished draft called Onboarding feedback.” The draft appears with your other surveys in QuestionPunk.
  4. Disconnect when you want to
To remove access, go to Settings > Integrations > Connected apps in QuestionPunk and click Disconnect.

What you can ask for: create a draft from a brief or a template, edit questions, set display logic on a draft, review a draft, and publish it. It can edit question text in the languages a survey already has, but it can’t add a language. When it publishes, the assistant gets the participant link to share. With permission to read responses, it can also get response counts, reports, cross-tabs and exports.

What it can’t do: answer a survey as a participant or buy participant recruitment. Publishing makes a survey live for respondents, so ask for it directly when you’re ready.

What it costs: connecting is free and works with your current plan, and your plan’s response limits still apply. The connector’s own requests don’t use AI credits. AI features inside a published survey, such as AI interviews, use credits as respondents answer, the same as in a survey you build yourself.

Your data: the assistant receives the account details, study content and results it asks for, and its provider’s terms apply to those copies. Disconnecting stops further access. It doesn’t remove data the assistant already received.

For Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http questionpunk https://app.questionpunk.com/api/v1, then claude mcp login questionpunk. To build your own integration with an API key, see API and developer access. The connector setup page has troubleshooting steps.
