Add a survey to WordPress
Choose a published survey in the QuestionPunk block, or paste its share link, then check it on your WordPress page.
Before you start
Use the QuestionPunk WordPress plugin 0.2.0 and a published survey. Ask your WordPress administrator to install and activate the plugin. If you need a copy, contact support for current installation options. An administrator connects the account; people who can write posts can use its survey picker by default.
Steps
Connect your account, or use a share link
In WordPress, open Settings → QuestionPunk and choose Connect to QuestionPunk. Sign in, review the read-access request, and return to WordPress. Check the connected account. Connection is optional: you can paste a participant share link in the block instead.Add the block and choose a survey
Edit the WordPress page or post and add QuestionPunk Survey. If connected, type in Choose a published survey and select your survey. To use a link, choose Paste a share link instead; if disconnected, the share-link field is already shown. Paste the participant share link or survey ID, then select Embed. Use Change survey in the block toolbar to replace the selection.Choose how it opens
In the block settings, use Style: In the page, Button that opens a popup, Chat button, bottom right, Feedback tab, right edge, or Full page. The inserter also offers QuestionPunk Survey Button, QuestionPunk Chat Button, QuestionPunk Feedback Tab, and QuestionPunk Full-Page Survey. A block affects that page; use the separate site-wide setting below to show a widget across the site. Leave width and height empty for automatic sizing. Full page has no width or height controls.Check the live page
The connected editor preview shows the survey's first question; it is not an interactive respondent test and does not submit answers. Publish or update the WordPress page, open it as a visitor, and open the widget if needed. Check the survey on desktop and mobile. An unpublished QuestionPunk survey remains closed even when the WordPress page is published. Complete an approved test response only when you are ready, then check it in QuestionPunk Results.Optionally enable a site-wide or post-purchase survey
For a widget across the site, open Settings → QuestionPunk → Site-wide feedback widget, select the survey and its chat-button or feedback-tab style, then choose Save Changes. For WooCommerce, use WooCommerce: after checkout to select a survey and either the in-page or popup-button style. Check it with an approved test order. This passes the order number asorder_id, plus a source label; the plugin does not add the customer's name, email, or address.Turn off the placement or disconnect
Remove the block to stop showing it on one page. For the site-wide widget or WooCommerce placement, choose None (off) or clear the Survey field, then save. Disconnect removes this site's account connection; it does not remove public survey placements. If you used an API key, revoke it separately in QuestionPunk's Developer settings when no longer needed. For OAuth access, always check QuestionPunk's Connected apps after disconnecting and revoke this site's access if it is still listed. WordPress can report a successful disconnect even when remote revocation fails.
Details and limitations
For a Shortcode block, use [questionpunk survey="SURVEY_ID" mode="standard"]. Other modes are popup, popover, slider, and full-page. Add a non-sensitive source tag with param_source="pricing-page". A pasted share link is reduced to its survey ID; its query parameters are not copied into the block. Use shortcode parameters when you need to pass your own values.
The account connection asks for read access. The site stores the credential on its server; it is not embedded in visitors' pages. The picker exposes the connected account's published-survey titles, response counts, and first-question previews to users allowed to write posts by default. Choose the connected account with that access in mind.
If Connect is unavailable: use Use an API key instead with a read-access key from QuestionPunk’s Settings → Developer, then choose Save key. Keep the key out of pages and shortcodes. This is the alternative for sites without HTTPS.
Check the result
The survey opens in the intended position on the public WordPress page, and any approved test completion appears in QuestionPunk Results. The editor's first-question preview alone does not prove that the public survey is open or working.
If something goes wrong
If the survey is missing, check the connected account and publication status. The picker caches its list for one minute and searches up to 500 published surveys; wait, reload the editor, or use Paste a share link instead. First-question previews can stay cached for five minutes. For a closed survey, check publication, schedule, and response limits in QuestionPunk. If the block is absent, ask your administrator to check plugin activation and version.
