Tracking pixels and conversion events
Fire conversion events to ad platforms when respondents view, start, or complete your survey.
Connect your survey to ad platform tracking pixels to measure campaign performance. Bind survey lifecycle events (view, start, complete, specific question shown/answered) to conversion events on Meta, Google Ads, GA4, TikTok, LinkedIn, and more.
Steps
- Open survey settingsClick the Settings button in the survey editor and find the Tracking Pixels section.
- Enable tracking and add an integrationToggle tracking on and click Add Integration. Choose a provider and enter your account/pixel ID.
- Bind eventsFor each integration, bind survey lifecycle triggers to conversion event names. Available triggers: survey_view (welcome screen loaded), survey_start (respondent begins), message_shown (chat message rendered), page_shown (content page displayed), question_shown (specific question becomes active), question_answered (specific question answered), and survey_complete (thank-you screen).
- Test and verifyPreview your survey and check your ad platform's event debugger to confirm events are firing correctly.
Ten ad platforms are supported: Meta Pixel, Google Ads, GA4, TikTok Pixel, Reddit Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, X (Twitter) Pixel, Snapchat Pixel, Pinterest Tag, and Microsoft Ads (Bing UET).
Only platform account IDs are accepted — no raw JavaScript or tag containers. This ensures security while giving you full conversion tracking.
Up to 20 integrations can be added per survey, so you can track conversions across multiple ad platforms simultaneously.
Question-level triggers (question_shown and question_answered) let you fire events when respondents reach or answer specific questions, enabling mid-funnel conversion tracking.
Tracking pixels are automatically disabled when anonymous mode is enabled, ensuring compliance with privacy requirements.
Enable cookie consent in survey settings if your organization requires consent before firing tracking pixels.
